| Tasting Notes | If Bombacher awakes associations of bombast, only the colour of theSommerhalde with its deep plum hue and distinctive purple rim couldbe seen to do justice to that image. The nose conjures up an imageof a hazy Indian summer’s afternoon, with bonfire smoke driftingacross meadows and hedgerows exuding fragrances of wild herbs andautumn fruit. For those who don’t get out that much (or far), juicymorello cherries, ripe plums and mouthwatering redcurrants areserved well by a generous contribution of sandalwood spices, driedherbs and expertly toasted aromas. A tight minerality partnersassertive tannins to provide a firm structure. Speburgunder suaveand sophisticated. |
