| Tasting Notes | Neal Martin: The 1986 Ygrec was showing splendidly after more than30 years. It has developed an intriguing petrol-like nose that youmight well pin down as a mature Riesling, though it is complex andwell defined, developing complementary scents of mandarin andlanolin with time. The palate has impressive weight in the mouth,notes of dried pineapple, hazelnut, lemon rind and white pepper,later a touch of star anise on the finish. It is very wellbalanced, an Ygrec that has developed real personality. Captivating! |
