| Tasting Notes | Allen Meadows: This is coming along nicely with the signature notesof honeysuckle and gorgeously pure, complex and refined aromas thatare trimmed in just a bit of oak toast. The naturally sweet, intense, delineated and punchy medium full flavors offer plenty ofmid-palate density and buffering fat for the bright and ripefinishing acidity. This packs plenty of size, weight and power forBienvenues and it's most impressive plus it should improve foranother two or three years before drinking well over another 5 to10 years. In sum this is a lovely '01 that is elegant, pure andracy. Note that I unfortunately have had a completely premoxedbottle recently that was all but undrinkable and certainly notenjoyable. |
